Bolton at Home

Act Out
Act Out

Working with major partner Bolton at Home our shared goal is to use the arts to transform communities.

Through this partnership we have had the opportunity to work with tenants across Bolton at Home areas. Together we have delivered unique artistic experiences for residents including promenade performances on housing estates. Community members have tours of the theatre, backstage workshops and volunteer at the theatre.

Working with Bolton at Home The Octagon runs a membership scheme for residents, with ticket offers throughout the year. To become a Bolton at Home Member, you will need to have completed a registration form and returned this to the Bolton at Home team. They can be contacted at Gaynor.Cox@boltonathome.org.uk or on 01204 329706.

Headspace

Headspace is an exciting and creative outlet for people with Mental Health issues, without direct focus upon these. It is a forum where people can freely express their unique traits, individuality and utilize their skills by primarily focusing on positive, personal, social and professional achievement and success and not on mental health. Headspace promotes positive change for the individual and challenges misconceptions often held by society.

We offer a programme of activities, all of which feature creativity at their core and are intended to support participants to develop artistic skills as well as developing confidence, peer support networks and challenging stigma. Sessions are run by professional artists from across the North West.

When: Fridays
Where: Unit 22, The Marketplace (Upper Ground Floor, next to Debenhams)
