News Story

Welcome back to our monthly Creative Engagement blog, we hope you have been enjoying the sunshine!

This month we’re sharing some of the brilliant things we’ve been up to, alongside a few exciting plans we’ve got coming up. It’s been a busy one, and we’re really looking forward to bringing you along for what’s next!

"ARE YOU LISTENING?" - YOUTH RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Tue 26 & Wed 27 May

This is your chance to help create a brand‑new show!

If you’re curious, passionate, and have ideas you want to share, our two‑day Research & Development workshop is your chance to help shape a brand‑new piece of theatre, your way.
Across the two days, you’ll play, explore and create through games, devising and storytelling, working alongside theatre professionals and other young people. Together, you’ll develop an original show idea inspired by the things that matter to you. No experience needed - just come as you are and dive in!

After the R&D, a professional writer will turn your ideas into a script, which will then be rehearsed and performed during summer school in July.

Awaaz Yoga & wellbeing Workshop

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a yoga and sound meditation workshop as part of our Awaaz South Asian arts and culture programme. It was a calm and reflective experience for all involved. The session was followed by a relaxing 'cuppa' chai and chat about cultural well-being with yoga practitioner Priya and Nipa our Community Engagement Lead.

It's almost that time of year again - preparation for Bridges Festival 2026 is well underway!
Our Bridges groups for young people and adults with additional needs and learning disabilities have been working on a documentary which they will share in a screening at this year's festival.
