Youth R&D: Are You Listening?

This is your chance to help create a brand‑new show!

We’re looking for young creatives who are curious, passionate and ready to make theatre their way. Join us for a two‑day Research & Development workshop where your ideas lead the process.

Through games, devising and storytelling, you’ll work with professionals alongside other young people to shape an original show idea from scratch, based on the topics that are important to you - no experience needed, just a willingness to get stuck in and be yourself.

After the R&D, a professional writer will turn your ideas into a script, which will then be rehearsed and performed by young people during an intensive week long summer school. This will culminate in a performance of "Are You Listening?" to share with an audience of friends and family.

SUPPORTED PLACES

As a charity, we strive to keep our fees at an affordable cost so as many people as possible can take part. We also offer installment payment options to help participants spread the cost of fees.

We are sometimes able to offer financial assistance to participants experiencing financial hardship thanks to the generosity of our funders. We also acknowledge that there are communities currently underrepresented within the our participation groups and actively encourage applicants from Black, Asian and Global majority backgrounds.
