We are on the lookout for creatives and facilitators to deliver creative writing workshops for our Awaaz Programme.

Awaaz is Octagon's brand-new arts programme celebrating and showcasing South Asian Arts and Culture.

We are looking for people to work with the local community with either adults or intergenerational groups. We have capacity for a few workshops so you can apply to deliver one or multiple workshops in the coming months. These could be connected or stand alone sessions. They could be working on creative writing, poetry, songwriting, playwriting or short stories. We are open to hearing new ideas and suggestions. The workshops will provide an opportunity for participants to create new work individually or collaboratively.

There will also be an opportunity to share some of the work created in these workshops at our Awaaz festival in the Summer.

Each workshop will last two hours and will take place during April or May. We are flexible with dates and timings and will discuss this upon interview.

The fee for each workshop is £150 and all workshops will be ran at the Octagon.
