About Creative Self-Care Workshop

Joy Unspeakable, Ordinary Glory theatre company’s touring show, explores themes of mental ill health, in particular disordered eating, as well as recovery, connection, support and self-care.

This creative self-care workshop is a relaxed space for anyone (18+) who would like to explore the theme of self-care in a practical, creative way. Led by professional artist-facilitators with lived experience of mental ill health, you will explore the many different approaches to self-care and create your own piece of art inspired by the theme.

Creative approaches will include poetry, creative writing, comic art and crafts.

You are welcome to take part if you are over 18 and would like to make a positive difference to your mental health, or that of others, through being creative together. You don’t need any previous artistic experience to take part, nor do you need to have watched Joy Unspeakable the show.

The workshop is FREE to attend but places are limited, so booking is required.
