Sponsor A Story in our 60th anniversary and help write theatre history.

You bought the bricks that became the foundations of this theatre and sponsored the seats that have welcomed generations of audiences. We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you. Now, we invite you to continue shaping the Octagon’s future by helping us bring incredible, local stories to life right before your eyes.

During our anniversary year, we are planning to stage 3 brand new pieces of theatre; The Forger, A Totally Unbiased History of the Wanderers *According to my Best Mate and Egging. These are remarkable local stories that deserve to be told. Rooted in the lives and experience of the people of Bolton, they also have the potential to resonate with audiences far beyond our town and add to the incredible legacy of British theatre made in Bolton. Creative teams and writers are working behind the scenes to bring these scripts to life. However, they’re not quite finished yet… and this is where we need the support of people like you!

We are launching a unique opportunity to sponsor one of these new stories in our anniversary season and play an integral role in making them happen.

Staging new work is expensive and increasingly risky in these challenging times, but we simply cannot stop investing in the next generation of writers.

This is your chance to help write the stories of the future and make your mark on theatre history.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped shape the Octagon’s story so far. Thank you! We have achieved so much together, so just imagine what we can accomplish over the next 60 years with your continued support.
