We are delighted to announce that our festive appeal raised over £15,000 - all thanks to donations from audiences of our 2023 festive productions.

Generous support from audiences meant that we met and exceeded our initial £10,000 target, raising an impressive £15,292.

All money raised from the appeal will go towards providing more creative activities for children and young people over the next 12 months, including our annual free 3-day Family Festival over the August bank holiday weekend.

Every year our Creative Engagement department work with thousands of children, young people and their families providing free and accessible activities at the theatre, in schools and community venues and spaces across Bolton.

Head of Development at the Octagon, Danielle Fearnley said:“We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our wonderful audiences and supporters who have really got behind our festive appeal. This money will go a long way to supporting even more young people over the next 12 months and provide lots of creative opportunities.

“We believe that every young person should experience the joy of theatre, it has the power to enrich lives and thanks to your support we can make a big impact on young people across Bolton.”

As a registered charity we could not deliver our vital creative engagement and community projects without the continued support of our funders, partners, sponsors and donors.
