Hundreds of unique items will be available as our wardrobe Department hosts a special Costume sale on Saturday 28 February.

This is only the second event of its kind in our 58-year history, and we'll be opening our doors to the public from 10am - 3pm

As a producing-house theatre, the Octagon designs, creates, and sources all costumes for our own productions. With over 10,000 garments in our store, the sale will feature an exciting range of clothing, shoes, hats, and accessories - from everyday items to vintage pieces, costume wear, and fancy-dress favourites.

Among the standout items on offer will be:

  • An evening gown from last year's Private Lives
  • Kaa the Snake costume from The Jungle Book (2024)
  • Period Costumes from Jane Eyre in both adult and children's sizes

Wardrobe Manager Su Newell shared:

"After relocating to new storage premises and completing a major sort-out, it's the perfect time for our second costume and accessories sale. We'll have a wide variety of men's and women's clothing, shoes and accessories, with many items starting from just £2.50. Alongside classic menswear such as evening suits, we'll be offering beautifully handmade pieces from our team, including the evening gown from Private Lives. We're also selling make-your-own bunting and patchwork kits crafted from leftover fabric scraps - perfect for creative projects."

The Octagon Kitchen & Bar will also be open throughout the day.
