Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

At The Octagon Theatre we are looking for storytellers, dance practitioners and community theatre artists to help deliver our Family Programme. We provide arts activities for families across Bolton through storytelling, puppetry, arts and crafts, and many other creative practices.

We are looking to widen our team of facilitators and are keen to work with more Global Majority Artists across our family offer. Practitioners must be confident in working with children from Early Years, up to the age of 10 and their families.

This Summer, throughout July and August, we are bringing back our annual Library Tour and are looking for performers/storytellers to deliver magical storytelling experiences to families in local Libraries across Bolton.

During the August bank holiday weekend, we also have our highly anticipated Family Festival and are looking for an enthusiastic dance practitioner to dance away with families in our famous Disco!

There are also further opportunities to get involved in delivering work across our Creative Engagement Department.
