Join the award-winning team at the Octagon Theatre as our Costume Technician Apprentice!

The Octagon is a vibrant creative hub that produces, co-produces and presents a wide range of theatre and performing arts. We serve Bolton and the surrounding area with a diverse mix of drama, musicals, comedy, family entertainment and more.

The Costume Technician Apprentice will work within the Wardrobe Department at the Octagon. They will be responsible for the care and maintenance of costumes for both in-house and visiting productions, including washing, ironing, repairing, setting costumes for daily performances, working backstage as a dresser, creating paperwork and assisting with preparing shows to go on tour.

The apprenticeship is part of the Mackintosh Foundation’s Regional Technical Apprenticeship Programme.

This is an opportunity for someone at the very start of their career with an interest in costume. Applicants must be at least 18 years old on 8th September 2025.
