We are looking for a Community Theatre Producer to join our Creative Engagement Team.

Leading on shaping the departmental delivery plan, this role takes a creative and collaborative approach, working with colleagues across the theatre and with our communities themselves to devise and iterate engagement activities that meet their diverse  needs, helping the theatre to achieve our goal of making our communities happier, healthier, more connected and more creative.

We are looking for someone who is able to exhibit a ‘producer mindset’: taking considered creative risks and thinking entrepreneurially; responsively identifying and acting on opportunities with energy and enthusiasm, in partnership with our communities.

This role is responsible for leading and coaching our team of Community Theatre Directors, ensuring they remain motivated, leading by example and supporting their continued growth and development.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Collaborate with the Director of Engagement and Impact and the wider team to shape and deliver the department’s strategy, ensuring Community Theatre Directors understand and align their work with organisational goals.
• Provide leadership, line management, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for Community Theatre Directors so they can grow, succeed, and strengthen their practice.
• Deepen connections with Bolton communities by building relationships, understanding community perspectives, and using both lived experiences and evidence-based insights to inform inclusive, asset-based work.
• Lead the production and delivery of projects by managing budgets, logistics, safety, and evaluation processes, while encouraging experimentation, reflective learning, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all work prioritises access and inclusion, while collaborating with the Communications Team to market projects effectively and better represent the communities served.
