Job Description

We are looking for a Box Office and Ticketing Manager to play a leading role in our customer relationships and experience.

You’ll lead the team that interacts with every customer – in-person, on the phone and online – to provide an outstanding service. You’ll be managing our CRM system (Spektrix) and continuously optimising how we use it to grow our relationships, revenue, brand and impact.

The Octagon is a thriving and award-winning regional producing theatre that makes work for local and national audiences and engages our diverse communities in a wide range of creative, life enhancing opportunities. We are known for being a friendly, welcoming theatre and have a track record of nourishing careers on and off-stage. As a busy arts charity with a social and cultural purpose, our box office and reception is the public face of the Octagon, and a critical part of our business delivering the relationships, systems and data that allow us to meet objectives across the organisation.

You’ll be working closely with other managers to share responsibility for the busy customer experience department and a multi-skilled team, creating a seamless, friendly on-brand experience from the moment a customer contact us. You’ll be collaborating with colleagues so that the box office is integral to delivering all our operations. You’ll be leading, developing and motivating a busy team. You’ll integrate yourself into the marketing and communications department and deliver a joined-up approach to managing customer relationships – through managing our CRM, providing reports and data, and acting on customer insights.

Our ideal candidate will be experienced in ticketing and working with CRM systems. You will be a leader who can motivate, inspire and organise people to work at their best. You will be passionate and proactive about delivering excellent customer service, accessibility, and about optimising revenue and customer relationships. You will be confident in leading a diverse team of people who excel at customer care. You’ll be a collaborator who works meaningfully with others to meet shared objectives and ensure the Box Office is integral to our theatre, our brand and the impact we have.

We’d be grateful if you would also complete and return the Equal Opportunities Monitoring form, which can be found here.
