At this time of social distancing, staying connected with each other is more important than ever, particularly for those who are over 50.

Since launching ReAct as planned in March became an impossibility we have been finding new ways to engage with people, inspire creativity and improve wellbeing.

Facebook group

We have launched a Facebook group for anyone over 50 in and around Bolton who wants to take part in creative activities from the comfort of your own home. We will be posting creative opportunities, tasks and wellbeing initiatives, and hope that this group will help you to use creativity to be more connected in a time of social distancing.

Theatre Club

We have also set up ReAct Theatre Club,an online opportunity to watch and read theatre, then take part in fun, informal discussions about it. Plays will be announced every Wednesday, with discussions taking place the following Wednesday from 2-4pm over Zoom. To get involved, please email participation@octagonbolton.co.uk - places are limited so booking is essential! We’ll also send over a guide to using Zoom for people who are new to it.

We will also be working in consultation with the group to launch new opportunities in the coming weeks and months.
