About The Jeweller's Daughter

The Jeweller's Daughter is full of celebration, culture and engagement. It tells the story of a little island in the Indian Ocean called Zanzibar; of a Sri-Lankan girl whose family were forced to leave, and the welcoming community they then found.

Children and adults alike can get involved in playful and creative ways as they are invited to join in and learn together - helping to tell the story, led by Natasha, the Storyteller.

Based on a true story and with lots of games, colour, costumes, music and memories - The Jeweller's Daughter explores South Asian and East African culture - it aims to celebrate difference, bring joy and encourage us to learn about others experiences.
