Literary
For ArtistsLiterary
The Octagon has a proud history of new work. Plays first written for the Octagon, including Two by Jim Cartwright and Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis by Charlotte Jones, have gone on to be performed around the country and the world.
We want to work with writers of all backgrounds in the belief that everyone’s story matters and, in particular, to champion the next generation of emerging talent. Our commitment to diversity means that we seek out artists and voices that are currently under-represented on stage.
Script Submissions
As we are only a small team, we're not able to read unsolicited script submissions throughout the year. We will post on this page when we have details of our next script reading window.
If you have a show that you’d like the Octagon to consider programming – find out more here.
