A reading of a brand new play performed by professional actors, script in hand - part of the Octagon Top 5 Season

About the play

A tense and complex drama set in the simmering violence of... a present-day primary school. A startling depiction of the struggles of teachers, parents, and young people in our schools today.

About the playwright

Gareth's first play Pure O was performed at the King’s Head Theatre. For The Faction Theatre Company, he has adapted Blood Wedding, Metamorphosis, Faust and Thebes, and for Dawn State Theatre he has written The Wonderful Discovery of Witches in the County of Lancaster.

He was invited by The Royal Court to be part of their Studio Group of writers where he developed new work and in 2016 his play Alkaline was one of five runners-up out of over a thousand entries for the sought-after Papatango New Writing Prize.
