Part of the Octagon Theatre and University of Bolton Shakespeare Celebration to mark the 400th anniversary of the death of the greatest playwright of all time. 

Throughout this all day event there will be a series of talks about different aspects of Shakespeare’s work from experts and actors from across the country including, Octagon Theatre Artistic Director Elizabeth Newman, Actors Sue Johnston, Rob Edwards, Margot Leicester and Professor of Theatre at the University of Bolton and Octagon Associate Artistic Director David Thacker.

Discussions will include, Comic-Strip Shakespeare, Shakespeare and the battle for diversity in twenty-first century UK theatre and how did William Shakespeare’s language sound. There will also be a chance to gain an insight into Octagon Theatre’s current production of The Winter’s Tale

Finally there will be a screening of David Thacker’s award-winning film, Measure for Measure and a chance to speak to the director after the screening - click here to book £3 tickets for this screening.
