Overview

Join us this summer to bring to life E. Nesbit’s beloved children’s novel, The Railway Children in a wonderful young people’s production.

Building on the success of The Secret Garden, we are looking for 100 young performers aged 8 – 21 to climb aboard for The Railway Children. (Open to young people with additional needs aged up to 25.) You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm, willingness to try new things and be able to commit three weeks of your summer holiday to putting on a production!

Over the three weeks you’ll work with the Octagon’s artistic team and professional actors to create the characters, locations and scenes that will bring the story to life.

Rehearsals will run from Mon 31 July until Wed 16 August and the show will be performed in the main auditorium on Thu 17, Fri 18 & Sat 19 August.
