Love to sing?
We’re making our first radio play and we’re looking for participants to join an online choir to record a song to accompany the production. One Night in Bolton will be a world premiere radio production and we’d love for you to be involved!
About the Choir
As part of our ReAct choir you’ll take part in three rehearsals on Zoom to learn and record a song, led by Musical Director Lauren Mullholland. You’ll need access to a computer or tablet with a connection to the internet take part in the sessions. To record yourself singing, you’ll need a smart phone. We will provide guidance to help you with the technology, so don’t worry if you’ve not done anything like this before! The final song will then be included in the radio play of One Night in Bolton.
Workshops will take place on Wednesdays 18 November, 25 November and 2 December at 7pm.
About the Production
One Night in Bolton tells the stories of fictional audience members who were there at the opening night of the original theatre in 1967. From that eventful night through to the present day, it is a celebratory, uplifting story about the Octagon, growing up and what makes a community. The play will be performed by our brilliant company of young actors, Young Octagon, and will be broadcast on various media platforms. The production will be co-directed by Lotte Wakeham and Joe Gilmour-Rees and will be professionally edited for radio broadcast.
