Black History Month is an international commemoration and celebration of achievements and contributions made by Black and other ethnic minority people. Highlighting achievements in Science, Medicine, Sports, Education, the Arts, Politics and many other walk of life from Black and ethnic minority people and how their achievements have transformed the world but they are all too often unrecognised and unacknowledged. African Community Association, Bolton runs a programme of celebratory and educational activities and events every year in Bolton to promote our Black History Month.
This year’s launch will be in the Main Auditorium of the Octagon to coincide with the community event “Out of Africa” taking place throughout the day and evening on the Tue 3 October 2017.
