Our main auditorium has a flexible seating configuration, seating between 300 and 390 people and gives you a truly intimate experience of theatre. Every time you come and see a show you will enjoy a totally different experience as our plays can be performed in three different auditorium configurations.
Take a look at these panoramic views of the auditorium:
- THRUST (seats are on three sides of the stage)
- END-STAGE (seats are just on one side of the stage)
- IN-THE-ROUND (seats are all the way around the stage)
All three of the configurations above were captured by Joby Catto of Anti Limited.
"All the world's a stage."
When booking online you will be able to see which configuration the stage is in to pick your preferred seat. Most of our seats are accessed via stairs, so do talk to our Box Office team about any access requirements you may have and they will ensure you are booking the most suitable seats.
In the stalls no seat is more than 9 rows from the stage. The gallery is a 2 row balcony on an elevated level and you may need to lean forward and look down for the best viewing position. The gallery is not recommended for the under 9s as viewing maybe impeded by the safety barrier, and may be unsuitable for anyone with any mobility impairment as getting up there involves a number of stairs.
Our Bill Naughton Theatre studio is unreserved and has a capacity of 100 seats over three rows.
Our education suite is a flexible space often used for talks and readings with a capacity of 40.
