What does a dementia friendly performance involve?

  • We work with people living with dementia, consulting them on the changes that they need for the show and front of house environment.
  • We consider everything from sound and lighting cues, stage action and seating plans to signage and refreshment service.
  • We offer flexibility when booking seats, so if you need a little extra personal space you can ask for the seat next to you to remain unsold.
  • A relaxed attitude to come and go from the auditorium as needed and there will be a quiet space outside the auditorium.

If there’s another aspect of the theatre experience we could help with to make a positive difference to you, please get in touch.

There will be lots of friendly staff on hand to welcome you and help with any needs that you may have.
