- What does the Octagon mean to you?
To me, the Octagon means family. I’ve been coming to the Octagon with my family since I was 7 years old and have seen so many brilliant shows. I also enjoyed attending Youth Theatre sessions for four years and, through that, got to know so many new people, including staff members! It’s such a fantastic feeling coming to the Octagon and always being greeted by familiar faces – my Octagon family!
- What is your fondest memory of the Octagon?
My fondest memory is being in the Young Company of The Christmas Carol (2017/8). Performing in front of so many people at a place I’ve visited for years was surreal! Also, working with the amazing creative team to bring together such a wonderful show was an experience I’ll never forget! Everyone was so welcoming and I made friends that I still keep in touch with.
- What about the new theatre building are you most excited about?
I’m really excited about the building becoming more accessible so that a new audience may be welcomed and experience the joy that is the Octagon!
- Why did you decide to donate to the Octagon?
The Octagon has given me and my family so much, we wanted to give something back. Donating to the Octagon is the least we can do to support such a fantastic, friendly place that we’re extremely lucky to have in our home town.
