Octagon Theatre Bolton and Carrs Pasties host a treasure hunt at Bolton Museum on Sat 25th May
To celebrate the Octagon Theatre’s upcoming production of Treasure Island, the Octagon have teamed up with Carrs Pasties to hide “treasure” in amongst the collections at Bolton Museum.
There will be 40 vouchers for the lucky finders to claim FREE pasties and 5 vouchers for a FREE family ticket to see the Octagon’s festive production of Treasure Island that will be sailing into the Premier Suite at the University of Bolton Stadium this December.
The treasure hunt will be a chance for families to explore the fabulous collections in the newly transformed Museum that reopened last year. Since opening the museum has achieved record visitor figures and with Egyptian mummies to local history and wildlife, there is something for everyone to enjoy, and for this weekend only there will be ticket and pasty vouchers for visitors to find!
"What a joy it is to collaborate with our friends at Bolton Museum and the Octagon. Both organisations are a credit to this excellent town. The museum a magical place to put on a treasure hunt so we’re looking forward to seeing some excited families claiming their prizes.”
Joe Carr, Managing Director at Carrs Pasties
“We are delighted to host this fun activity for our visitors with our friends from the Octagon and Carrs Pasties. With the chance of free tickets to see the Octagon’s exciting dramatization of Treasure Island, not to mention the possibility of sampling a delicious Carrs pasty we think that the Central Library and Museum will be buzzing on Saturday.”
Julie Oldham, Head of Library and Museum Services
“I'm thrilled that the Octagon is teaming up with our partners at Carrs Pasties and the Museum this weekend. Both have been brilliant supporters of the Octagon and this is a great opportunity for families to explore the museum’s fascinating collections and have a chance to find these exciting prizes. I have been introduced to Carrs Pasties since moving to Bolton in February and was an immediate convert! So along with a chance to win tickets to see our swashbuckling new adaptation of the classic pirate tale this is a wonderful opportunity for families to have a great day out in Bolton.”
Lotte Wakeham, Artistic Director at the Octagon Theatre
Head down to the museum on Saturday from 9am to find yourself a FREE pasty voucher and FREE family ticket for Treasure Island – once they are gone, they’re gone!
Good luck pasty hunters!
