“I am thrilled to come on board as a judge for the Octagon’s creative writing competition. I have had many wonderful nights in Bolton over the years and think this is a fantastic opportunity for everyone aged 11 to 111 to have a go at writing a short story about their town. As an actor and a writer I know the power that writing can have and really encourage anyone thinking about having a go to enter - I cannot wait to read the entries!”
Ralf who went to school in Bolton, joins Octagon Artistic Director Lotte Wakeham, writer Becky Prestwich, BBC Radio Manchester present Becky Want and best selling novelist Monica Ali who will select winning entries to be performed by a professional actor with a selection broadcast on BBC Radio Manchester.
The competition closes for entries on Mon 1 June.
