Video on demand version of The Hound of the Baskervilles on sale now

Our smash hit summer comedy, THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLLES, has been delighting theatregoers since opening earlier this month and we are delighted to announce that audiences can now also enjoy the production from the comfort of their own home.

Tickets are on sale now for a digital version of this brilliantly farcical adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic adventure that has received rave reviews from the public and press.

Recorded in front of a live socially distanced audience, the digital version will be available from Mon 2 – Sat 7 August. Ticket holders can choose to watch the show at any time between those dates and will have access to the show for 2 days after starting the recording. Captions will also be available on the digital recording.

Once purchased, we will email full information on how ticket holders can watch the show on personal devices in their homes.

Tickets are priced at £15 for one person or £20 for 2 or more viewers. There is also a £30 ticket option available for anyone wishing to support the Octagon.

The Octagon’s Artistic Director, Lotte Wakeham commented “We are thrilled to be able to make available a digital version of The Hound of the Baskervilles. The show has proven incredibly popular with live audiences, but we also understand that some people may not feel comfortable or be able to return in person to the theatre. We pride ourselves at the Octagon on being inclusive, accessible and a theatre for all, so wanted to ensure that those people who are unable to visit us in person at this time still have the opportunity to catch the show. It’s a wonderfully funny, fast paced comedy that promises a great night out or in!”

Starring Reuben Johnson, Simon Kane and Polly Lister, The Hound of the Baskervilles is directed by Lotte Wakeham and adapted for the stage by Steven Canny and John Nicholson.

The creative team includes: set and costume design by David Woodhead, lighting design by Derek Anderson, sound design by Andy Graham and assistant direction by Francesca Tennant.

World-renowned detective Sherlock Holmes and his colleague Dr Watson are asked to unravel the mystery surrounding the untimely death of Sir Charles Baskerville.

With rumours of a cursed giant hound on the loose, they must act fast to save the Baskerville family’s last remaining heir.

With plenty of red herrings, disguises and twists along the way, The Hound of the Baskervilles promises to be a fast-paced and hilarious night out.

The Hound of the Baskervilles is on at the Octagon in person until Sat 7 August and available digitally from Mon 2 - Sat 7 August.
