In light of the advice from the government yesterday to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 we have taken the decision to temporarily close our unit at the Market Place Shopping Centre effective today (Tue 17 March). The Café will not be open and the Box Office will be closed for in person bookings.
Our creative engagement groups (including Youth Theatre, Bridges, Artbeat, Women’s Group and The Academy) have also been suspended and any scheduled sessions will no longer take place.
We do not know yet how long this closure will last and we will be in contact with participants directly when we have a confirmed date for the resumption of activities.
During this difficult and uncertain time we will do our best to support our staff as well as the communities we serve. We’re currently looking at ways to deliver some online content to keep people entertained during this period.
As a theatre and a charitable organisation we are reliant on our audiences and supporters so please continue to support us during this challenging time and when our redeveloped building opens later this year.
Online and over the phone bookings for our autumn 2020/spring 2021 season will continue as usual.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and we hope you understand why we have made this decision. We’ll be keeping our audiences updated via our website and social media channels with the latest information.
Thank you for your understanding.
