Bolton at Home

Seeing red
Seeing red

Working with major partner Bolton at Home our shared goal is to use the arts to transform communities. We work together to develop projects to strengthen sustainable arts provision for our communities.

Through this partnership we have had the opportunity to work with tenants across Bolton at Home areas and these groups have worked alongside theatre professionals, developing interest and ability in performance, creative writing, production and direction, in addition to building confidence and communication skills, and achieving qualifications.

MELODRAMATICS

This is a women’s only group held at the Newbury Centre in Bolton. The group has in the past created a show called Seeing Red which used the members own experience of domestic violence to explore how even the simple act of choosing a bra can have devastating consequences for women in abusive relationships.
