THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST: THE DESIGN

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST: THE DESIGN

We're super excited for the upcoming production of The Importance of Being Earnest. With rehearsals starting this week we've been able to have a sneak peek into David Woodhead's fabulous design for the production!

THE SET

David Woodhead's design draws inspiration from the lavish photography studios of the Victorian era and the portraits of John Singer Sargent (a contemporary of Oscar Wilde's) - have a look at these great pics from the model box to give you an idea of how we will be using the Victorian grandeur of the Albert Halls in the design of the set.

THE COSTUMES

The actors have been busy in rehearsals, learning lines and of course having costumes fitted. We cannot wait to see some of these designs come to life - it is going to be a busy few weeks for our wardrobe department!

Rehearsals are now in full swing - keep checking our blog for the latest updates and insights into the production.

Make sure you get your tickets so you can this great set and stunning costumes come to life when the show opens in June!
